April Is Happening in Seattle!
With a wide varitey of blooms and happenings, Seattle is buzzing with spring energy, albeit the rain is still with us about half the time and will continue so until May. Never fear, some of the great events that are taking place are indoors and can be enjoyed rain or shine.
Don't Miss These Great April Happenings:
The Tulip Festival - This year is the 29th Festival in the Skagit Valley. The events go all month, April 1 -30 and take place over a wide variety of places, tulip farms, galleries, and other venues. A must see!
The Cherry Blossom Festival - At Seattle Center April 1-3 this quintessinal spring holiday will bring the pink glow home to your heart.
Bunny Bounce and Egg Hunts - Woodland Park Zoo has a big Bunny Bounce (now in it's 11th year) but almost every community center in town and selected locations in the Eastside and West Sound provide plenty of egg hunting opportunities. The Zoo is up till age 8, the community centers till age 10, and many hunts are for teens and adults as well!
Holy Week Services and Events - April 1-7, special and unique events held at various places of worship.
Seattle Restaurant Week - April 8 - 19, many participating well known restaurants make this a chance to try out those places you've been meaning to go, for a reasonable price and in a fun format!
Passport to Woodinville Wine Festival - wine tours and gallery events make this a don't-miss happening if you love wine. Consider staying over in one of the area's inns so you're not driving that night!
