Antiquing in Edmonds

Edy Kizaki

If searching out special antiques is your hobby, your passion, or even just a suitable distraction on a rainy afternoon, Edmonds is a treasure trove of antique shops waiting to be discovered.

One great place that has Saturday auctions is the Waterfront Antique Mall.  I have happily wandered around there for a couple of hours.  Everything from furniture to books to jewelry to china, you name it and it is likely to be there.  It is a huge one story room which is divided up like a flea market into small booths, everything is labeled, and you take the purchase to the front counter to buy it.  Here is a page from Yelp with five reviews I found quite helpful.

Today I stopped by at Edmonds Mercantile and Auction, a small but impressive shop full of atmosphere and goodies from bygone eras.  Whether it’s grandma’s china, a wonderful doll, a little chest to hold treasures, or collectable glass, here you will find something to catch your interest even if you only stop by for a moment.  They also do an online auction, check out the website.  Happy hunting!
